Woody plants are plants that produce wood as a structural tissue in the stem. Trees, shrubs, lianas, and bamboos are all examples of woody plants. Presently, the MAK series of MultiAccess Keys includes only lianas—woody vines—identified using the key: Herbaceous and Woody Vines in Hawai‘i and a multi-access key to Common Trees in Hawai‘i under development. A dichotomous key to bamboo species found in Hawai‘i and Guam is at Family Bambusoideae of the grass and sedge key. Press to return to the MultiAccess Keys (MAK) homepage
