This project attempts to enhance community appreciation of Kawa Stream. It is tied to efforts to understand influences of land uses on water quality in this short, perennial stream, which contributes to south Kane`ohe Bay. This effort supplements the Department of Health Total Maximum Daily Load, Kawa Stream (.pdf file) and the Kawa Stream Stream Assessment Project (2000-2001) (see also Kawa Stream TMDL) undertaken in 1999-2001 . | ||
